| In the Ultimate Universe, yeah. This new guy you're talking about is his replacement.
Honestly, Marvel makes me want to facepalm so bad. The Ultimate Universe is in ruins, and WHY? Becuase they've killed just about every hero they have in there. I don't care if it makes it more "realistic" or "hardcore". It kills important characters off and ruins story. The UU should just be dumped at this point because it's basically a grave yard. No doubt in my mind Peter will be "ressurected" or some such crap. Because now that virus is spreading to Ultimate Spiderman too, not just TAS. It's a down right shame. As for the new Spidey, he's okay, but why in the world did we need to get rid of Peter? And at a time like this? The comic was just getting back on it's feet! This isn't the first time Marvel has let me down, but I'm still terribly dissapointed in them. They know what most of us want, and this just isn't it.

| The ret-con I hated about Spider-Man was in Civil War where he traded his marriage with Mary Jane so his 80 year old Aunt could survive a bullet wound. | |

Well it's unrealistic... B... your calling something in a comic, about a guy who got bit by a spider, so that when he does some symbol with his hand to shoot webs out of his hands, which are so strong that they can hold a man of about 150 pounds as he swings this way and that. You think THAT is realistic in the first place?

And uh... that's just the stupid movie in the comics he invents web-shooters.

That would be "One More Day". One of the most despised plots in Spiderman history. Not sure why? Let's take a look at the main plot and I'm sure it will make sense to you. Peter is on the run after revealing his identity in Back In Black. Okay, so far so good. Then Aunt May gets shot. Okay, now this is a debateable subject but I think it's about time May died, No? I mean come on, just look at her in the comics from the 60's. She must be at least, like what, 70 something? How old is she now? Like 120 or something? That's ridicolous. Now then, this could be a great thing. Peter could finally move on from May's care and face the challenge. But no, we get the WEIRDEST reaction ever. It makes sense to miss a loved one. Some crying could take place and all that, sure. But nooooo. We see Mephisto (who is basically the devil BTW) and he offers a trade. Peter trades over his lovely wife in return for that old bag to live for like what, 2 more months? She's bound to die soon anyway. And May even SAID HERSELF she wanted to die. So that's just selfish. So of COURSE the smart thing to do is to NOT move on and trade your wife to Satan! Right? Nothing wrong with that plot right, Queseda? @Mat, Y u so harsh on Branch?

| I don't like Marvel... Marvel comics are what DC heroes and villains use for toilet paper and to scare their children... 'Do your homework son, or else someday you're gonna be a slim, latex-suit wearing guy who shoots a white gooey snot-like substance from his hands and people and does acrobatics in the meantime...'
Though I do like Iron Man, Thor and (most of) the X-Men and (maybe) Captain America... (NOT because of the films)

| In the oughts I enjoyed Ultimate Spiderman till they got that new artist then I despised the comic. Now I just read Vertigo. One plot line = so much more simple. | |

I forget the new guy's name. I thought his art style was okay. Nothing too special. I hear rumors that the guy who originally did the art for US (Shoot, I can't remember any names today) will be returning. Just rumors, but still that would be great.
