Plus. Neither o you are spontaneously destructive in order to be Bane... Is that a challenge? As Burkman would say... you have no idea.

No, he's Bats on account I'm the Joker. Burkman's my polar opposite, meaning only he can fill those pointy ears... And he's not angry 99% of the time... There's a difference between pissy and angry... In his case, from what I gather, this place would simply implode and collapse on itself from the power of his seriousness should he get angry...

And I assumed that is why he was Batman....though I am so confused as to why you're Joker in the first place. Though he is an epic villian... but you don't come across as the villian type.

That quote implies that you are in pain and locked inside your own head, and use madness to escape it.... in that case, you know if you ever want to talk you can pm me. I might not be able to help, or necessarily understand, but I am a good listener and sometimes it helps to just get it off of your chest.... Is it ex-girl related? *hugs*

Is it ex-girl related? *hugs* I guess you have the quote backwards... Madness is the emergency exit... I no longer see reality the way I want to see it, like most people, but the way it is. I am not locked inside my head, nor am I in pain. I have realized and accepted that lingering on things passed and done does not move you forward. I am free. And this isn't related to my ex... My bad day was a long, long time ago... Long before we got together... And thanks, but there is no need to talk... I am my own therapist (sucks when I want pills, but still- much cheaper) and the only way you (or anyone) would even begin to comprehend would be to embrace madness yourself. I cannot be responsible for that, nor can I actually make you- you need to do it on your own terms, when you're ready...

Actually that's sort of how I took it... as in you WERE in pain based on your views prior to accepting the madness and whatever that entails (as we all have different views on what madness really is)... but then used the madness as an escape. (or as you say an exit).... all that being said, we are a little mad hun. It's the new normal.

You took a great topic like assigning members to psyco charicters in an epic game and start analizing them! This may float down the crazy river in the town you're from but I will have none of this!!!! Morrigan = Therapist.

Morrigan = Therapist. Accept me as I am, you live with me, you know that's how I am. I really don't think I can help it. I'm just not built any other way babe. I TRY. Fine. I will then just say, I love that I was assigned Poison Ivy, I think she is freaking awesome (second to Harley Quinn who frankly is awesome as hell) Is that better?

| The basic definition of being crazy is to be abnormal or not 'going with the flow'...
There's a general difference between madness, crazy and dementia...
Being crazy is somewhat synonymous with being plain ol' weird- doing things that would just seem odd and out of place to 'normal' people. Like collecting your own excrement in jars and storing it in the basement (I had a high school colleague that did that...). Craziness comes with the realization that, inevitably, we are all the same- normal. It's an attempt to reason that you are special and 'don't belong with the rest of those fools'.
Dementia is a mental condition. It's basically the loss of one's ability of coherent and rational reasoning. Usually it's expressed by one's fall into his own pocket of reality- one he substitutes the real world with. Dementia is what I would call the 'natural solution' to life. One cannot deal with the strains of reality so he simply creates his own little world in order to make his life easier to cope with.
Madness is somewhere between those. However it's different from craziness, where one does weird shit just so he can call himself different, and dementia, where one looses the ability to perceive the real world in all it's aspects. Madness is different. Every person, should he take the escape exit, would experience a different manifestation of madness based on his own self.
If you want to continue this topic, we can do so in the Killing Joke thread...
