It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

Use the one for YouTube... Otherwise they might not show up, appearing as a blank space in your post... Plus, it's easier- you don't need to figure out the dimensions of the embedding...

This is still using the basic flash video embedding option. The youtube (and or some reason dailymotion) specific option is right next to it- the little video reel thing... You just copy the url into the slot and don't worry about dimensions...

I'm not complaining... I'm just pointing something out... Flash videos from YouTube can be embedded using the generic flash embedding option but they might not always show up (due to a possible mix-up in selected dimensions- YouTube uses one, you want to use another and the two jump at each-other's throats like women in a shoe sale) , though it's a rare occurrence (like the little glitch where read topics appear as unread)...

The youtube embedding looks like this:

It's simpler to spell-out, instead of finding the option, clicking it, etc...

seriously you lost me. how do i embed. other than the "generic" way that you say i do it. i tried to click on the embed option with youtube but when i imputed the code all it did was show a line of code in preview. is this what your talking about?

so im not supposed to copy the url into the VIDEO option? cus thats what i have been doing.

so what do i link in there? if i hit the share option in youtube i get another thing i can link in there and that was what i used for the test.

and yes i do have to agree with you. were being fucked with. i blame Scott. he is sittin back and everytime you go to look at a thread he is in there messin with the posts. editing them so you delve deeper into madness. he changes them back once your done lookin at em.

No... You do use the url between the two bracketed codes...
