| I'm getting bored with the current threads so I thought I'd start up a Trivia thread and have members of the OT ask random trivia that they find across the interwebz. First person to answer correctly gets to ask the next trivia. Just pick a topic or fiction you enjoy and google some trivia on it.
What were the tendons of the worm in Dune (1984) made out of?

Ok... In attempt to fix that, may I suggest a new question: What is the basis of string theory? In other news, when googled, Scott's Trivia question is the second result... You should feel proud...

You dick... What? Valid Trivia question! Do you want a definition of the concept... or the history "basis" on how it came to be? Both! (Why do we not have this as an emote?)

''Contrary to common legend, the bagel was not created in the shape of a stirrup to commemorate the victory of Poland's King Jan III Sobieski over the Ottoman Turks in the Battle of Vienna in 1683.[citation needed] It was actually invented much earlier in Kraków, Poland, as a competitor to the bublik, a lean bread of wheat flour designed for Lent. Leo Rosten wrote in "The Joys of Yiddish" about the first known mention of the word bajgiel in the "Community Regulations" of the city of Kraków in 1610, which stated that the item was given as a gift to women in childbirth.[6] In the 16th and first half of the 17th centuries, the bajgiel became a staple of the Polish national diet,[7] and a staple of the Slavic diet generally.[8]'' Oh yeah, salvic... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BagelMy tune, my turn...uhm... Ask away! And I suggest we drop the 'answer to ask' rule and just come up with a simple scoreboard..
