The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

This video features not one, but TWO chicks lol Me and another chick. And of course Frank, but that's a given lol
No, not THAT kind of video (you dirty minded men...or maybe I'm the dirty minded one to think you might think that...conundrum)
Anyway

So I finally got around to actually watching your... doodads... Imma be harsh.
I see where the humor is suppose to be... but 1 joke in a minute long recording... leaves a lot to be desired. If you're going to go with this kind of recording I'd say do it more like "The Office". Your actors also need to act more realistic and less exaggerated (I think that part took away my interest). You can tell they're acting in front of a camera instead of acting their individual selfs or personas you want to portray. It should feel more actual conversationy. I think the yoga one seemed the most natural... but again... it was extremely short and I am left with no desire to connect with this.

I was too distracted by Shadie's sweet voice to notice the humor.
Also, I second what Scott about making it similar to "The Office". Though I admire you guys' drive to film a video series. My friends are too far away and too busy to make a video series.

Well, if we made it like The Office, then it would no longer be original work. It would be an imitation.
And I have never watched an episode of The Office in my life. So when you guys say it should be like the Office, I don't even know what you're talking about.
ONE: Specify what you mean, be more concrete and detailed in your feedback so we can at least take some elements from that feedback and put it to good use.
TWO: There are more ''conversational'' episodes coming up.
THREE: We have various styles of comedy so you ain't seen it all yet lol
FOUR: ALL 24 episodes of this season are filmed, edited and fully complete.
FIVE: Compiling.tv may be in an office but it will never be The Office because it is NOT the Office.

1. I was specific... as specific as I will get with this and it's worth on my time. I'm your friend Shady... not your underpaid labrat nor am I a professional critic. You got my honest and detailed opinion...
2. okai
3. I haven't seen a variety so far...
4. okai
5. The office is a TYPE of entertainment (not the only one of its kind, I was only using it as a reference, if you haven't seen the Office then perhaps you should to understand what I'm talking about)... considering you are only starting off this compiling.tv thing I would suggest sticking to a style that is KNOWN to work, build up some reputation, THEN try your "original" work.
6. Right now you have to work to get a show with positive criticism before you get donations... it doesn't work the other way around.

I wasn't saying shadie was the one with the hat. Hat girl is "who's this new bitch?" then camera goes to shadie, then back to hat girl.

1.I did that once and you called me a troll 2.Cool 3.Kay 4.Great 5.Like Scott said and like I said, stick to a style that is known to work (in this case the Office) and then you can use your own style, people nowadays are more bonded with mostly Sitcoms and Mockumentaries; the Office is a great fit to your series IMO 6.
