The inactivity of this forum. | Thu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman | It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Totally... You can take the Fate of the Jedi series, have Mark Hamil play the old Luke that he is. THen you get knew characters, Ben, Vestara, Tahiri, Jaina, etc. Find NEW actors for Leia and Han and voilĂ . I mean, they did it for X-Men. They can do it for Star Wars. Just keep Hamill as Luke. Because he still looks the part and he is not as ''old'' as the other guys from the original trilogy.

- in all honesty it would have to been all new characters. Harrison Ford will never replay Han Solo. Carrie Fisher does not fit the Leia role anymore. Mark Hammil would probably do an aged Luke, but probably only as a mentor type role. they all aint as young as they used to be.
So just make a new character, set em in an established section of the Lore, and start writing the movie around it.
For example: Fade in on Star Ship flying in space (as all star wars films should start lol) down towards a planet. Have Luke searching for a person. Once he finds that person he takes em to his new Jedi Academy.
So basically start from scratch. Would be best for the next generation of Star Wars fans and the only way you wont alienate the older generations.
and i would still LOVE to see an X Wing TV series... Why wouldn't Ford play Solo? I mean... Yes, he's old as fuck now and all that, but he agreed to another Indiana Jones movie... And actually, who said it has to be after the last movies? It could be about Solo's earlier years or something... If on him at all... It could be on the Second Galactic Civil War... I dunno... So much of the established lore focuses on the 'main' characters... I really don't see a movie taking place after the original trilogy without them...
OMG, the story of Revan and Malak, Knights of the Old Republic comes ot the big screen OMG OMG OMG

ELABORATE Well Anakin and Tahiri actually had sex right before his death and then there is a roughly 8 - 10 month gap in the books so it is possible for them to have had a child in that time period.

Tahiri is infected by the Vong. Remember how they were scared for Ben when Mara was infected? Well she had not fully developed the secondary personality at this point. And after the mission to destroy the voxyn queen you had plenty of time to have the child. It was really mentally so I doubt the fetus would have sustained physical damage. Also the only time the fetus would have been in danger would have been during the mission to Myrker since it would have just been conceived at Yag'Dhul.

| Well, most of your stories won't come to life because: Episode VII is expected to be an entirely original story, and not based on the various novels, graphic novels and other materials that have previously been considered Star Wars canon. As part of the purchase, Disney received an "extensive story treatment" by Lucas. In a video interview that was part of the purchase announcement, Kennedy stated that she and Lucas had already met with writers to discuss the film script.
Lucas biographer Dale Pollock, who had read the original twelve stories written by Lucas, noted that the new episodes would involve character Luke Skywalker in his 30s or 40s. In an interview, Pollock stated that "the three most exciting stories were 7, 8 and 9. They had propulsive action, really interesting new worlds, new characters. I remember thinking, 'I want to see these 3 movies.'" Pollock expects the screenplays to follow the treatments written by Lucas.
Well at least I hope they have Ronald D Moore or Gendy Tartakovsky (creator of the Clone Wars shorts, PPG and Samurai Jack) as directors
P.S. Before Scott goes all raged by this fact, these sequels plus this premise were created when the first movie was released and became a major success.

Up until now he's done animations only, and kid-orientated ones at that... Anyways, I think it's safe to agree on this- Star Wars has been a mess of a universe ever since the Phantom Menace... And this comes from someone who moderately enjoyed the prequels...

| Jar Jar Binks is now, a terrorist mastermind, acting on behalf of the Imperial Remnant against the New Republic. His broken and damaged body is kept in a bacta-tank due to injuries sustained escaping the Naboo BDZ. Senators of 83% of the controlling planets are killed when Gungan suicide bombers turn Coruscant into a new black hole. Luke, Captain Solo, and a handful of specialists head to Tatooine where intelligence indicates Jar Jar is hiding. This is, of course, a trap, and Tatooine is glassed by Remnant forces. Luke and Han survive by hiding in a mantle-level bunker, but Chewie, Threepio, and Leia are killed in the blast. Luke heads to Dagobah to try and commune with Obi-Wan and Yoda's spirits, only to be tracked by Jar-Jar's forces. He is frozen in carbonite. The New Republic begins an all-out frontal assault on the Remnant, both sides suffering major casualties and loss of life. It turns out that this was Jar Jar's plan all along, who hated the Remnant for BDZ'ing Naboo, and hates the New Republic for failing to stop them. | |
