The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year!
Wed Jan 02, 2013 2:56 pm by Scott
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

I realize now that all the Season 1 sketches are done, most of them are missing development in terms of character, story and plot. Other than the compiling thing, there isn't much that links each episode. No storyline.

This is something that I feel strongly about including in Season 2. And I know what you mean by MEAT of the sketch.

If you have any other specifications along those lines, do share. We're gonna be having our first writers meeting in two weeks. So now's a good time to elaborate this sort of stuff. But I know what you mean, something's missing, there's no attachment to the characters, no wondering what's gonna happen next. THIS is what I (oh dear, I'm the only REAL writer in the team) is gonna push for Season 2. No not true, a friend of mine who's taken writing workshops will be there too as part of the team. 2 writers, 2 programmers, 1 new guy whos apparently good with funny things (I'll be the judge of that) and the black dude lol who's good with ideas and feedback.

Don't mind if I use this as proof to back me up if ever the others go ''huh?'' which I doubt. But your feedback right there makes me go AHA

Shame I didn't realize that BEFORE but hey, you learn as you go along. And a series is SOOOOOO not the same as a movie. Or just an independent parody clip.

/spankthanks

yea. so far it just seems like random acts by the same people all put on video. some coherency is needed. some character development would be cool, but not enough to bog it down and stop it from being a short blip. it can be hard to squeeze all that into a 2 min episode. might wanna shoot for 2:30-3:00 min episodes. gives just enough time to advance plot and character while still keeping it a short.

and its fine if some episodes dont pick up close to where the last one left off. its cool.

You should give someone some incurable disease then never have the character mention it again while all the rest wonder about it till someone finally brings it up and they terminal guy has no idea what they are talking about.
