The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

The first night working on the carnival was alright. I had a very easy job. Basicaly, I just had to stand at the end of a fun house and watch people leave. If someone stood at the spinning exit wheel, trying to go upside down, I would tell the person to get off and keep going.

Remember my other thread that mentioned a house in North Carolina? It turns out my family and my dad will meet at the house in North Carolina. My family plans to stay there for 1-3 months and then return to Florida. The carnival I'm working at is a traveling carnival. If I want to, I could hop on and join them to elsewhere. I really don't want to go to North Carolina again. I actually take school online now. So if I have internet access at their trailers, it's not all that bad. If I go to North Carolina, I wouldn't have internet access for about a week anyway. The online school year ends in May. If they return to Florida in a few months and have internet access at their trailers, I would find it very tempting to join them. Dispite my Mom's disapproval.

Assuming the two conditions I need works out, would it be a good idea if I joined the traveling carnival staff?

If you enjoy it, go for it.

I would think that perhaps being a waiter somewhere would be more beneficial. Better perks. Less chances of being raped.

If your carnivals are like Alabama's there's a pretty high chance of that.

No matter how much the Bearded Lady persuades you... Running off with the circus is never actually a fun idea...
But I dunno... If it's something you see yourself doing, go for it... Just... Don't make it into a career...

Grimeth lives in a world where every hard worker is justly rewarded and finds work easily while every bad employee or manager loses their job and certainly doesn't get promoted.

His work ethic will shine through in any interview, plain for anyone to see and he will be hired on the spot.

My experience is limited, but so is grimeth's. But he's not willing to admit that. He is uncompromising in all things. He is like many OTers... if his opinion conflicts with uly's, his is automatically correct. Uly can't possibly know anything he does not. Uly is a loser and a failure in life, he is always wrong, unless he agrees with you. He looks down on uly like anyone else... uly sees it plain as day.

Guys, I made my decision. I decided I am MUCH better off going to North Carolina. Know why? I found out that you have to work more than overtime and make less than minimum wage, although they are provided a free place to stay at, utilities, ect. Pretty much the only thing they have to pay for is food. I have the same benefeits if I stay at home (Plus free food. :P). But more importantly, there is no way I would get school work done.

I used to run a carnival. A lot of people who went came up missing or dead. I can imagine you know what happened to them.

You must not have heard of that one off-tangent series where Batman turns evil then...
yeah

It's quite fun actually... He basically goes off in a tantrum, finally cracking and killing pretty much everybody in the DC universe (much like Deadpool in his little "Kills the Marvel Universe" bit), not because he can (like Deadpool) but because they pose some form of threat to Gotham...
It's not evil, per se... It's just, in my opinion, the natural end to Batman's cause...
