New movie script I'm developing, World's Finest EmptyThu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman
It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

New movie script I'm developing, World's Finest Empty
PostSubject: New movie script I'm developing, World's Finest   New movie script I'm developing, World's Finest EmptyMon Jul 28, 2014 9:50 pm

I've been developing this movie script for some time now with my friends and we plan on making this our college movie project; It was sort of an idea I had while watching a Street Fighter movie based on Balrog and some shows like the Office and Parks & Recreation.
It's a DC Fanfilm Mockumentary that explores a bit of the DC Mythology based on the civilians' views, with characters like Jimmy Olsen, Steve Trevors, Lois and the Gray Ghost sharing their views on the Superheroes.

So tell me what you guys think about it (NOTE: This is mostly an amalgam of a lot of DC Comics elements, it has a main focus on the early post-crisis versions but still has refferences to shows like Smallville and Arrow, universes like the Pre-Crisis and Earth-One comics and one-shot stories too.)

[Based on the DC Universe]

OFF-CAMERA: Ok, the camera is all set-up aaand we’re rolling.

OFF-CAMERA: Could you please tell us your name and occupation?

[World’s Finest]

JIMMY OLSEN [UNLIT CIGAR ON HIS MOUTH]: Hi I’m Jimmy Olsen and I work for the Daily Planet.

LOIS LANE: Lois Lane. I have a job as a reporter for the Daily Bugle.

SIMON TRENT: I’m Simon Trent; I’m an award-winning actor, mostly known for playing the character of the Gray Ghost on Television.

STEVE TREVORS: Captain Steve Trevors; I was in the Army.

JOAN: I’m Joan Garrick. I am retired.

ALAN: Alan Scott. I used to work as a member for the Justice Society of America, now known as the Justice League.

PEDRO: Pedor Velazquez. I do community service for the Saint Charles Chapel in Gotham City.

JOE via Skype: Joe Moulton; I have a degree in marine biology.

OFF-CAMERA: And what is your relationship with today’s superheroes?

JIMMY: Well, I’m often reffered as Superman’s best friend.

LOIS: Well, as part of my job I need to get the latest news around the world, most of these news contain one particular hero that keeps on following me everywhere I go.

OFF-CAMERA: Who’s the lucky guy?

LOIS and the Director laugh

LOIS: He’s what you call, a Man of Tommorow.

SIMON: I am the Caped Crusader’s inspiration; His role model.

STEVE: I am the first one to find about the Amazons and I’m often seen by many people as Wonder Woman’s

STEVE Does quotations on his fingers: Sweet Heart.

Steve giggles at the camera.+

JOAN: I am the widower of Jay Garrick, a loving husband and the first person to assume the mantle of the Flash.

ALAN: Do I need any Introduction, lad? *Smiling* I was the Green Lantern. Before any aliens landed on this earth or yellow beings fueled with fear started attacking us, I had a black cape, a green magical ring and tights that constantly got stuck in my ass *Bursts out laughing*

PEDRO:  What I saw wasn’t a superhero or a human being for the matter; What I saw was an angel with the appearence of a monster, I couldn’t tell if it was man or animal with his distinguishable appearence; Pointy ears, blank eyes, black wings and claws located close to his arms.

OFF-SCREEN: So what you’re saying is Batman is some sort of mythological being?

PEDRO gets closer to the camera.

PEDRO: You call him Batman; but I call him Azrael, the Archangel of death.

JOE: I was one of the first people to interact with the Atlantians; In particular, their king Aquaman.

OFF-CAMERA: Could you tell us about your first encounter with your said hero?

JIMMY: It was around 1987, where Superman first popped up, but at the time he wasn’t a Superman; He was a Superboy.

LOIS: Me and Jimmy, we were tasked by our boss to mee this new worker, who nowadays, just happens to be my husband.

OFF-CAMERA: So, the day you met this guy you also met Superman?

LOIS looking nervous: Yeah, it just happens to be an odd coincidence; Now let’s get to the main details, shall we?

JIMMY: The guy we’re talking about is my highschool friend, Clark Kent or as Lois calls him “Smallville”.
LOIS: So by the time Clark was with us, We decided to take him to do his first job on reporting, it just happens that Lex Luthor was announcing this new Military Battle Armour on a private convention; The power armour was huge, almost the size of a small building and was powered by this strange green mineral.

JIMMY: This “LEXO-SUIT” codenamed Metallo was piloted by John Corben, this demented war reporter that once worked for our newspaper and whom his other occupations included being a major jackass was offered a chance to, quote on quote, redeem his sins by working for Lex Luthor.

JIMMY coughs: Also a jackass

JIMMY: Whew, I think I’m gonna have a cold.

JIMMY has a smile on his face as the Documentary people laugh.

LOIS: For some reason, Corben went out of control and started killing everyone; It was terrifying, I saw smashed corpses, people from all ages running away in despair; It was a frightening experience, and…

LOIS stamming

LOIS: I’m sorry, I’m sorry; Could you give me a second.

JIMMY: Corben was a douche but I never knew he was a homicidal maniac; Me and Lois we were running for our lives, for a moment I remembered Clark but I thought it was already too late for that.

LOIS: I somehow tripped on the floor and Corben was about to smash me...When suddenly, He appeared.

JIMMY: Superman. The very primitive one, around 16 years old at the time; He managed to hold an entire fist from the battle armour with just two fingers, his power was unbelievable.

LOIS: He suddenly blasted from the ground to the sky with Corben and ripped the power armour bit-by-bit before arresting Corben by making a nearby lamp-post into a handcuff.

JIMMY: He went flying away after this, leaving our sight with a sonic boom; No one knew what he was, one people said that he was jesus, another person told that he was the Flash; He was a strange being.

LOIS: But what me and Jimmy were worried about was Clark; We thought that he was a goner and suddenly *lois puts her palm in her hand* Clark pooped up, with his underpants exposed.
“I needed to use the bathroom Lois, that thing got me scared to death” Good old Smallvile, what a figure.

JIMMY: *laughs* Thinking about it, my day when Superman popped up was fueled with mixed feelings. We were scared at the sight of Corben, relieved when we saw the Man of Steel and we laughed at Clark’s comedic nature.

LOIS: And with Superman’s act of justice, we got our scoop. But our newspaper needed a name for this guy, what was he gonna call?

JIMMY: All sorts of names popped up in our studios: Powerhouse, Destroyer, The Blur, Golden Boy, Hercules, Marveller, heck someone even said Lion Man at some point.

LOIS: But, then Clark stated that this “Man” was actually close to his age, so there was no point at calling this superhuman a “Superman”; And that’s when it hit me, Maybe he wasn’t a Superman, he was a Superboy. And that’s how the name Superman came up.

Gray Ghost? Been awhile since I saw that episode but did people know he had any connection to Batman? I doubt there's a shortage of other people who would have opinions on Batman. Maybe even one of the rogues. Like that scene is done with a straight jacket or something.

Sorry for not responding, I was out of town, mister  yeah
Anyway, yeah, I really think that the Gray Ghost was added mostly due to him being on my favourite Batman TAS episode and was really straightforward instead of giving a proper introduction.
I'm gonna explain him better on the later script.
