The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year!
Wed Jan 02, 2013 2:56 pm by Scott
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

I hear Russian is actually very difficult to pick up for non-native speakers.

Hey, first of all... I wasn't comparing anything. I was just trying to think of an example. That being said, if I HAD been comparing them, it would have been a christian and a jew. The gay part and hitler-loving part were the adjectives there. I'm just saying...

And I say nay... actively defining yourself by something that's generally agreed upon to be against your religion... and also saying "god made you that way" is different from stealing that one time and regretting it. I feel like... it's like saying "god made me an alcoholic, so he wants me to drink to excess frequently"

I don't get you people. I feel like someone's going to say, "being gay is not the same as being an alcoholic" and it's not my intention to compare the two. I just thought to myself, "what can I use as an analogy here..." and put down the first thing that came to mind.

The reason you think that is because a majority of the Christians that EVERYBODY sees are people like the fuckers at Westboro. Its like getting your heart broken and saying ALL women are like that. Christianity doesn't have an IQ test to be a member. We have stupid people too just like every religion, race and nationality.

What is "generally agreed upon" is that God loves all and we should strive to do the same.

About god and gay people, people are just guessing, really. They say "Is it ok to be gay? Uuuh... sure, yeah, god made gay people, yay" but there was once a point where he said "no queers" in the old testament and nobody ever amended it so that's probably still a thing. And by nobody, I mean jesus. If jesus didn't touch on the subject, then all we got is god saying no queers and apparently that was that.

Actually it was "amended" by jesus dying for us he created a new covenant with man. That overrides that old bullshit.

More or less everything in the old testament is null and void.

Nobody ever specifically said "god made people gay" so it's still all just guesswork. Jews and Muslims don't like 'em, either. They're all branching off from the same root.

Either A: that one verse in Leviticus is written by an asshole, or B: People today just misinterpret the hell out of it.  Either way, the Bible should not be treated like a code to follow and instead just treated as just a regular book.

If God was real and he had a plan for all of us like some people say, homosexuality wouldn't be and shouldn't be considered a sin.  If there really is a plan for us, then maybe it was his plan for those people to be homosexal or any sexual orientation. I don't understand why people have to see it as "disgusting" or "wrong" or "unnatural". Those people are just ignorant and are stuck in the old ways.

Jesus died for our sins making, like Grimeth said, null and void. The points that talk about bad shit. The Ten Commandments say nothing about homosexuality and the old testament actually says Do not eat Shrimp more than it says do not be a homosexual.

Remember when humble bundles used to be good? Another example of all good things coming to an end, I suppose...

Also, I been working on finishing all the achievements in skyrim lately. Some I had to do on my first character who's the powerful, rich one. But now I only need 3 more achieves to have them all... the werewolf perks, the vampire perks, and collecting 15 daedric artifacts. A new character I've been playing for a good while now is the one I'm working towards the daedric artifacts on. I'll probably also be a vampire with that character.

So I got to meet the great and powerful Jessie Cox yesterday. Pictures pending because a friend is lazy...

For the checklist:
I've shaken hands with TB;
I've strangled Sam (Strippin);
And now I've beard-hugged Jesse.

Bullshit.

17 Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19 Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mt 5,17-20

Jesus said this. He clearly says the Old Testament is to be observed. If observance means following it literally is up to debate but Jesus never makes the OT "null and void."

Jesus only condones the ten commandments...

I don't see any christians following this from the old testament. "...thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed; neither shall a garment of mingled linen and woolen come upon thee." (Leviticus 19:19) I bet you're wearing a shirt of mixed fibers right meow!
