The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

Fully geared my human and my apex but now I'm having trouble deciding what race to use next. I'm leaning toward a Hyotl because of their style but I dunno man

I am currently working on a PHD at the School of Hard Knocks. The Street Campus is pretty shitty but the degree is nice.

I'm not entirely sure at the moment. I'm taking my GED test a month from now.

Well, Indians pretty much invented modern mathematics...

Also, I don't understand why basic classes are even necessary for people who know what they want to major in. As cool as history is I highly doubt it'll ever come into play with what I want to do. I just feel like it's a tremendous waste of time (and money) to take classes you'll eventually forget about

And this is how you end up not knowing... well, history... I agree with the redundancy of a lot of things taught in schools (like arts/music class after kindergarten), but there's some things that should be essential- like history, biology, geography and physics. Just so you don't end up one of those numb-skulls who think George Washington invented the dollar bill and that's why he's on the face of it, or that vaccines cause autism, or that the Sun revolves around the Earth. or that Austria and Australia are the same damn country...

grim added a T to Austria

Got a fever, vomited friday morning, got a cough going, coughed up some mucus this morning, my chest hurts every time I swallow anything, food OR water. Been like that for about a week. I didn't eat yesterday except a brownie. >_> Nothing so far today. The pain when swallowing is probably my biggest deterrent... Grimeth thinks I should go to the emergency room, but what are they gonna do? Give me some more ibuprofen, most likely. They'll look at me like the scum of the earth for wasting their time, you know how they do.

So hopefully, I get better. Big test on monday. I attribute all of my woes to my wisdom tooth removal. Shouldn't have done it at tech school... Then again, they made it a "mandatory appointment" so I couldn't even say no.

Yeah, I've been sick as well. Throwing up and such. Shitty feeling.

I've been meaning to ask -- do any of you have Twitter?

GalCiv III is already great, though still in "beta"...
Other than that, Sins of a Solar Empire is good. It has great visuals, decent mechanics (although ship tiers are kinda rock-paper-scissors) and a big modding community.
Endless Space is great if you want something more focused on imperial expansion, diplomacy, economics and the like, and less on actual combat. Though the space combat in ES is still pretty sweet, cinematic-wise. It also has a good deal of interesting lore, which somehow ties with the rest of the Endless series of games...
StarDrive is alright for a one-man show, pretty good actually. It brings a good deal of nostalgia. Plus- owl-people! And space bears!

Avoid Sword of the Stars. It's a decent 4x, but it's overly complicated, buggy and unfinished (last I played it)...

Snowed in again. Weird how the heaviest snow is in March. The snow dome has failed us this year.

Meanwhile in Grimtopia... (A.K.A Northern California)  "God, it's cold..."  *checks weather*  "Jesus, 62 degrees?"  "How am I even alive?"

Meanwhile, in the misty lands of Albion it doesn't go higher than 7-10C (50F)...

It was 31 degrees outside a couple days ago. And we had to be outside in it! That's a fierce california winter. Fiercest winter I ever did see, to tell the truth. Not sure what it's gonna be like at Langley. I hear it gets cold enough to snow there.
