The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

And it's soooooooo fucking tedious... Like, not even hard... Just annoyingly tedious. Why would anyone ever play that game solo? Everything just takes so fucking long when you're alone... That and it does get kinda lonely...
And on that note, I see that like half of you have it in their Steam library...
you

Uly, Grim, and I played it for a bit before the former left. It can be pretty fun with others but I definitely see where you're coming from about playing it solo. Gathering materials in zero gravity is such a pain.

Nah, building the nonsense is my main pain...
And if you ever feel like playing, you know where to find me...
Hello Clarice

So. After... 28-odd hours, my first outpost is complete. Well... Functional, at least. There's a lot more stuff that would probably need adding before it gains even a quarter-star on the "Premier Stellar Vacation Spots" chart, but hey- it's supposed to be a simple mining outpost.
Ignore that big red ship, it came with the map...

To come is some sort of living area under the Refinery Pad.

And here's my first ship that I made all by myself. Handles like a zamboni...

Imgur is being derpy atm, so sorry for the big images, I'll make an album when I can...

And here we see the Zamboni 2.0, graciously falling apart about 5 seconds after I started its' stress-test, not to mention being under construction for nearly 8 hours (not including mining for resources time). That pic up there pretty much sums up my last 15 hours...
Lesson of the day- cranking the torque of rotors to 11 is not always a good thing...
Also spacing, need to be mindful of that because apparently even "heavy armour blocks" are made of paper-mache and tend to explode at the slightest nudge...
