| Here were are about to go into the new year, to celebrate yet another useless holiday. One that encourages people massing in the middle of the street, waiting and watching a giant freaking ball drop on top of some random building or other. We are about to enter the infamous 2012, where our society is petrified, that our world will end before the year's end. Absolutely Retarded. | |

| You try creating a time system that doesn't involve a changing point in the years. That actually makes sense. | |

Absolutely Retarded. It's the same building in time Square every year. ... "The Times Square Ball is a time ball dropped each year during the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, Manhattan, New York City. The ball is made by Waterford Crystal[1] and electric lights is raised to the top of a pole on the One Times Square building at 6:00 pm[1] and then lowered to mark the coming of the New Year. The ball descends 77 feet (23 m) over the course of a minute, coming to rest at the bottom of its pole at midnight, and a sign lights up with the digits of the new year, as the ball's lights turn off. Fireworks are then lighted from the building to signal the arrival of the New Year. Toshiba's Times Square advertising screen directly below the ball counts down to midnight as well alongside several other billboards in the area, including the Budweiser and Coca Cola signs." -Wikipedia- I do agree with the retarded part. But in their defense...any reason to party is a good one to me!

That's acceptable. I just don't think one should need a reason to hang with friends. However I'd do that watch some ball drop. If I wanted to see a ball drop I could just drop one in my living room.

My friends have all graduated with their degrees or simply moved away... we aren't all in the same city all that often. On top of which family comes first... at least I married my best friend. xD

| I've never done much on New Years. Either I'll be here or at a friends house depending on if my family wants to have "family time" | |
