My great-grandmother died...

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I dunno... My parents told me in the most inappropriate way...
So I was traveling back home today, packing my bags before the flight and everything...
So my mom calls to ask how's everything going (with packing my bags)... I complain that I got a shitton of stuff and shit...
So she asks if I want to go with them to my grand-parent's place (where my sister is staying over the summer; also where my great-grandma live...d)... "Oh, and by the way your great-grandmother died..."
And I was like... Ok, WTF mom... You could have probably started with that, but thanks for bringing me up to speed...

Anyways... Yeah... I'm actually not too sad, but that's mainly because I haven't yet fully processed the news... That and I'm a bit happy she finally died. I know it's kinda a terrible thing to say, but considering how she was getting progressively worse over the past year/year-and-a-half and how she was mostly bedridden for the last several months... She herself hoped she'd die soon, y'know... That point in time where the human psyche is actually 'ready'... I've talked about the natural human condition of being afraid of death... Well, there is also a moment in time when you actually start being ready for it, you're kinda prepared... You've lived a full life- as full as you could make it under the conditions you were given (she had suffered through both World Wars, so there's that). You're happy about the way things have turned out, you've left your mark on the world (family, friends, etc)... It's time to move on...

Yeah well... I'm just coming back from the funeral... Wasn't anything grand... We put her next to my great-grandfather (who I don't think I actually know)... It was a small eulogy...
