L12PW: The New Order

The point of uly's story is... I can't do anything without being painfully aware of being watched. People watching everything I'm doing and thinking how stupid I am for doing it wrong. It's the biggest reason why I put off mowing the yard, even. Some neighbor will see me doing it and I'll do something weird and they'll think I'm stupid. I feel like I'm acting the whole time. I mean like every second, I'm aware of the fact someone might be looking out their window at me at any given moment. And that's when I'll bump into something that stops me from going forward and I'll look weak like I couldn't push the lawnmower up a small incline. Or... ANYTHING! Going into places and applying for jobs, even driving there... it's so hard for uly! IT'S TOO HARD, I TELL YOU!

Take this suggestion as you will. Its a true suggestion though. Commit yourself. Get some help and understanding of those feelings you have. Just do it for a short bit. A month or two. See if it helps.

I was reading about this somewhere... it's because the EMS/Medical system isn't built into our economy. They are a single industry driven entity. That means their cost centers can charge whatever the fuck they feel like without repercussion from the government... literally.

I'm trying to not go all srz mode on this... but I've had a long ass day.

I'm empathetic to others... I can reason with their troubles. Where I draw the line... is when it puts OTHERS before my FAMILY. So basically you're saying I have to help others above my FAMILY. You're DICTATING to me to do something OTHER than my PRIMARY interests. That makes you a tyrant... and a bad person Uly.

I'm not above helping a specific person in need like a friend or a relative. *IE: I bought Burk XBL because he couldn't at the time.* Hell I've even done charities... HELL YOU'VE SEEN ME DO THE VIDEO GAME ONE! And you call me heartless? The problem is when companies are shelling out part of my paycheck to random folks who may or may not need the money... at the expense of my family's welfare. Good... solid benefits and pay that I worked my ass off to get to, and that I still am.

That's not what I meant at all. I didn't mean it in a way that providing for your family makes you look like a greedy asshole. I just meant that it can be considered selfish, yet not. It's selfish because you want to only help out your family and your family only, while it's not selfish because you care for others instead of just yourself.

I was... kinda just being lighthearted proverbial... lol

But to further the fact... how am I selfish when I give to others like in a charity? I'm not interested in giving to free healthcare... but I'm giving to others outside my family.
