The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

Dostoyevsky is a really good Russian author. His stuff is hard to read, granted, but he's one of my favourites from that period. Give him a chance. And why did you start with Crime and Punishment? That's like... A really, really hard novel to get into, even for Dostoyevsky.

Then his teacher's an idiot. Dostoyevsky's works are all rather dark and dreary since they're all heavily inspired and descriptive of the Russian lower class of that time. That's why you don't start with Crime and Punishment. Yes, it's the start of Dostoyevsky's "Torah" (that's as best I can translate it) and I'm assuming that's what you're studying. But it's too hard to read if you've never read Dostoyevsky before... You should've started with something that's not part of his "mature writings" (i.e- anything he published before his exile). Even if it is just to get you in his writing style and themes... On the bright side, they didn't start you off with House of the Dead...

What I think of most riots: unfounded and idiotic, led more by anarchist fuckwads that just want to wreck shit than anyone actually concerned with what happened...

Banana really hit the nail on the head. I wish the media would not feed into the frenzy and let due process happen.

Riots are bad. However, they should not distract us from the police brutality that has been going on. Did you read about how the SWAT team used tear gas on the Al-Jazeera news team and dismantled their equipment? That is something you see happening in Egypt but not here.

I'm not touching that. All I'm gonna say is take their shit away. Why exactly does a SWAT team need a military-grade IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle). Like... Really... Stop treating your police force as pseudo-military...

Writing an article about re-releasing older games and how it's not necessarily a horrible idea given you do a few things

Isn't it a remake of a remake and not the actual original RE? I hear it's based on the GC version from 2002.
