Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

So I got these e-mail today...

Greetings,

It appears the World of Warcraft account penchev.ivo@gmail.com has been compromised or accessed by an unauthorized party.

We have reset the account's password for its protection. An email with a link to complete the password reset process will be sent to you shortly. If you have not received an email within one hour, check your Spam and Junk folders. If you still can't locate the email containing your password reset link, use the Battle.net Login Support page to recover access to your account: https://battle.net/account/support/login-support.html.

If in-game property is missing from your characters, please see our Account Compromise page for information on recovery and restoration: http://battle.net/support/article/account-compromise-what-to-do.

Account compromises are usually the result of the registered player sharing their login information or playing on a computer that has a virus. Remember that you are responsible for the security of the account you are using. For steps to ensure the security of the account, see our support site:

We also offer the Battle.net Authenticator for additional account security. For more information about how the Authenticator works, visit the FAQ: http://battle.net/support/article/battle-net-authenticator-faq.

Greetings,

Account Name: penchev.ivo@gmail.com
Account Action: 3 hour suspension and password reset
Reason for Action: In-Game Chat Policy Violation - Advertisement and Spamming

The above account was found abusing World of Warcraft's chat system by spamming in-game chat channels. This kind of abuse negatively impacts channels shared by all players and is not acceptable behavior in World of Warcraft.

We have suspended the account for 3 hours and reset its password to prevent further harm. The account will become available for play once the 3-hour suspension period ends and a new password has been chosen. An email with a link to complete the password reset process will be sent to you shortly. If you have not received an email within one hour, check your Spam and Junk folders. If you still can't locate the email containing your password reset link, use the Battle.net Login Support page to complete a password reset: https://battle.net/account/support/login-support.html.

If you did not participate in the behavior that caused this suspension, your account may have been compromised and used by an unauthorized party. Please secure the account immediately and see our Account Compromise page for instructions on recovery and restoration: http://battle.net/support/article/account-compromise-what-to-do.

For steps to ensure the security of the account, see our support site:

If the behavior was your own, please see our World of Warcraft In-Game Policies page for information concerning our policies and their enforcement: http://battle.net/support/en/article/policy. Be aware that further violations of our policies may lead to additional action against this account, up to and including account closure.

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behaviour is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/services/anti-gold/

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://eu.blizzard.com/company/legal/index.html. Any recurring subscriptions on this account have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://eu.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://eu.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/200783
