The Game Awards EmptyThu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman
It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

Dragon Age Inquisition is really fucking good. I'd say it deserves it.

Have you even played Stick of Truth? I got more enjoyment out of that than any Kevin Spacey performance. And that's saying a lot. There's a lot of Kevin Spacey performances I enjoyed.

There's a difference between dialogue scripting and line-delivering with acting, Burk.
An example of this is Clerks, I fucking love Clerks, I embrace it. But I can't ignore facts that actors involved with the movie don't actually have a lot of effort put in their acting; I mean yeah, I'll give props to Jeff Anderson since he actually did a great job as Randall.
But people like Brian O' Halloran who plays Dante, Jason Mewes who is the legendary Jay and many of the actors involved in the 1st movie don't actually have a lot of effort put into their acting, yes, Jay is a funny character and Brian as Dante is unforgettable, but the reason of why we remember these characters isn't because of its actors but rather at how Kevin Smith handled with a lot of the dialogue put into the film and how Dante and Randall's talk through out the movie has a lot of diversity put into each topic which can be easily identifiable with its audience.

Now with this in mind, the reason of why I find Trey's victory over Spacey as unfair is because he didn't put a lot of effort into his acting compared to Spacey.
I'm not bashing on South Park since it is my favourite animated TV show and Spacey's acting in COD wasn't American Beauty quality acting, but there is no denial that Spacey did bring a lot of characterization onto his character.
Trey, on the other hand, he was playing roles that he had already worked for in ages and didn't need to give a lot of construction to put the story into place.
All he did was just play Cartman, Stan, Butters, Clyde, Tolken, Tweek, etc. in their usual day-to-day lives surrounding the humourous chaotic events in South Park.
But that's just my opinion, you be the judge.

EDIT: Not to mention there were voice actors such as Troy Baker, Adam Harrington who did Bigby Wolf and Melissa Hutchinson who did Clementine in the Walking Dead. In fact, now that I'm seeing that the voice of Bigby was in this, I take back what I said mostly about Kevin (since I previously wasn't aware of his nomination) and ask why didn't he get the award
