I have bed bugs...

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I had these, from a friend who had them, got 'em while moving. Dirty trucks.

Anyway, here's what to do, determine where they are. If just at the bed, it ain't so bad. Make sure to wash everything with very hot water. Leave what you can outside in the cold (if there is cold where you are, pillows and clothes and good to leave in a safe place outside when freezing temperatures).

If you don't have the freeze factor luxury, hot hot water cleaning.

Getting rid of the bugs and the mattress.

First squash the bug as muh as you can. Then wipe the remains and throw in a garbage and throw out right away. Do not vaccuum lol they will stay inthe vaccuum cleaner, you don'T want that.

Then, get rid of the mattress. It sucks, but that'S what I had to do.

I washe my bedding with hot water, then checked the bedding before rinsing it to be sure there were no remaining bugs in it. And it did 2 rinse cycles.

My mom and I stayed up almost all night.

She sprayed her aphid killer poison (kills ALL bugs, especially aphids) and that stuff is deadly. But if you don'T have aphid killer, you can use raid or something.

Then put some vaselin, lots, on the base of the bed and bed feet. If any bugs remain, they will get stuck there. After a few days, if no new marks of blood or indications that they are still there (remember the bites can stay up to 2 weeks so its nothing to go by) are gone, then you'Re in the clear. If not, call an exterminator, but those are expensive AND its not guaranteed.
