DnD in the OT - Page 3 EmptyThu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman
It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

DnD in the OT - Page 3 EmptyWed Jan 02, 2013 2:56 pm by Scott
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

Then it will be impossible for me to play. I'm going to be incredibly busy anyways, since I'm going to school soon.

Causa seems under the idea that Callin might BAN this perfectly FAIR and BALANCED Feat.

Commanding Officer CW - You gain a single follower. Choose either the aggressive, defensive, or utility template for your follower, generating the followers statistics based on the rules on page 32 (CW book). This follower gains one armor proficiency feat of your choice and Weapon Proficiency (Rifles). The follower must meet requirements for the armor proficiency feat. You can gain this talent multiple times, each time gaining another follower (maximum 3).

EDIT: I just found out that you cannot attack a round with any followers without giving up your attack. XD Wow, that changes this from OP to stupid. The hell is the point?

As I said a good starting point could involve Banana and his ship. Perhaps Banana is in need of crew so he puts out commissions, maybe he needs help reclaiming it from the imperials after it had been seized, or he could be in debt to some kind of crime boss and needs to repay him, etc. We just need a good starting objective and we can build upon that.

As I said, Causa- I likely won't bring Ban to this game cause that would make him ancient. Probably a distant relative or something... But yeah, the rest could be a good premise for the story...

Also... Callin... Your Skype, my dear sir. I request it.

Also, I spend all last night brain-waving. I feel fairly confident in saying that I will play a Zeltron who is definitely not a Zeison Sha Initiate. No Inquisitor, that isn't my Diskblade, I'm just holding on to it for a friend, honest! I might change race if I roll poorly though. Being a proper definitely not a Zeison Sha is a prestige class I can pick up fourth level and up. Which, as I understand it is half of what levels we will get.  DnD in the OT - Page 3 2238782717

Which does bring me to a question. So I won't be utterly useless till I can use my, um, friend's people's signature weapon I thought I would care a big blaster to encourage... cooperation. Since that would take a feat and I would get Blasters anyways through prestige when I prestige can I have a rebate on that one feat?

I really am thinking about it still being an E6 game. Keeps everyone down to a more human power level.

I do have some things I change with Star Wars. Ambidexterity is no longer in game. Its built in once you get Two Weapon Fighting. Spending Vitality Points to do Force Powers... that goes away except on fringe case by case basis. WHY in the hell should you spend your HEALTH to do something.

With it being E6 I am goin to try to be flexible for character concepts. If you find a feat or PrC that you want and wont qualify for, let me know and we can see if we can work something out.

E6 progression stops at lvl 6 BUT each time you would level to lvl 7 aka gain 6k xp. You gain another Feat. If a Jedi and you have 6 levels of Jedi you will then become a Jedi Knight and may take 1 Knight Feat. (yes Jedi are allowed with proper backstory).

Questions and comments and Ideas please post here. We can also talk on Steam if yall want.

I was originally looking at maybe playing a Mando, but Elite Trooper isn't until lvl 7 and honestly? I think a Mando build needs to get past lvl 6 even with modifications to truly come online. So much junk they want.

Pick 1 extra skill as a class skill that you picked up on your own.
Roll 4d6 take the highest 3 and do that 6 times. Twice. Pick your best group.

Also the Time is 9BBY.
9 BBY
Following the fallout from the Battle of Kamino, the Empire begins to employ clones from different templates and non-clones into the Stormtrooper ranks.
Dash Rendar enters the Imperial Academy.
A groundquake crumbles Chadra-Fan civilization, converting those that survived into spacefaring nomads.
The HWK-290 light freighter that would become Moldy Crow is manufactured.
Sienar Fleet Systems purchases the patents and production rights to the Eta-2 Actis-interceptor and Alpha-3 Nimbus V-wing from Kuat Systems Engineering.
Luke Skywalker contracts a case of Tatooine dust fever.
An entire village of settlers on Coveway is killed by the new Imperial garrison's commander.

That is what is currently going on.

Alright. So after talking with Callin for awhile... Here's the quick backstory behind the Sleight of Hand, Ban-Anad's ship which could be a hook for the game.

It was developed in a joint-venture between CEC, Rendili StarDrive and Sienar Fleet Systems as a prototype long-range stealth and recon vessel to be used against the Sith Empire during the Great Galactic War prior to the Cold War era. It was constructed in a top-secret CEC facility with Sienar responsible for most of the hardware and software, while the most of the main chassis, ion engines and power generators were supplied by Rendili. The bridge section was developed internally by Corellian Engineering and was considered state-of-the-art for its' time- featuring a specialised neural-link system used to pilot and otherwise command the ship. The ship offers comfortable quarters for seven (six crew, plus a captain) although that capacity can be increased to 13 (12 crew, plus a captain) in need be. The cargo hold is large enough to store a sizeable landspeeder, with room to spare.
Unfortunately, although initial tests were successful, calibrating the neural-link system proved challenging as it wasn't compatible to all subjects and pilots would need incredibly strong willpower to even be able to fly the ship through it. Due to that and the inherent costs of the materials required for the hull and internal systems, the project was eventually canned and funding was redirected to more directly supporting the war effort.
The only fully-constructed prototype was retired to a CEC storage facility which eventually turned into a ship graveyard during the onset of the Cold War.

Ban-Anad found the ship some years after the end of the Cold War, after having a vision induced by his innate Force-sensitivity. With the help of Stowdacca, his Wookiee companion, he brought the ship back to life, refitting it with modern, for the time, hardware. He called it the Sleight of Hand and made it his main vessel.
During one of his adventures, one which took him deep into a Force Nebula in search of a lost relic dating back from before the time of Exar Kun, he found a mystical device, a Force-compass of sorts, which integrated itself directly with the neural-link of the ship- giving it a sort of sentience, or at least conscience and linking it to D'ealari's bloodline.
With the help of this device, Ban then found what is possibly one of the oldest Force relics in existence- a Force-imbued blade dating back as far as the first Force Wars. Upon touching the Force-blade, Ban-Anad was granted a direct connection to the Living Force.

Ban-Anad kept both the ship and the blade in his possession for the remainder of his natural life, finally hiding the Sleight of Hand somewhere in the Force Nebula where he discovered the mystical Force-compass.

The ship was again found, thousands of years later, in 35 BBY, inactive yet still intact and in serviceable condition, by a salvage crew working for the Hutt Cartel. The Cartel ended up auctioning it off, seeing how they couldn't figure out how to activate it. The buyer was Kuat Drive Yards who used it as a basis for their own research into stealth technology up until the start of the Clone Wars. Once the Clone Wars began, the project was stopped as attention was diverted into raising a fleet for the Republic.
The Sleight of Hand was thus again shipped to a storage facility where it remained until 10 BBY, when it was discovered and picked up as a pet-project by a lesser Moff who sought to re-activate the ship and present it to Darth Vader and the Emperor as a means to gain favour.

I'm a light side twi'lek jedi who's secretly dark side but fights for the light side with my silver and green lightsabers.

I swing my lightsaber at the rancor. *roll die*

Fuck yeah, we're so awesome! WE'RE SO FUCKING AWESOME, GUYS! But seriously, let me tell you more about my light/dark side half-twi'lek, half-rattataki Jedi and his one purple eye which can see whether people are lying or not and his green eye that has x-ray vision.
