The inactivity of this forum. | Thu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman | It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year! | Wed Jan 02, 2013 2:56 pm by Scott | Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... | Okay, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting Pokemon Black or White anytime soon. But, I can dream right? Here's a concept I had for Triple Battles.
The Spark: Bold Jolteon with Fake Tears (bred), Discharge, Magnet Rise, Signal Beam (Gen IV), and Volt Absorb holding Leftovers
The Charge: Bold Jolteon with Discharge, Magnet Rise, Work Up, Stored Power (bred), and Volt Absorb holding Leftovers
The Ion: Bold Jolteon with Discharge, Magnet Rise, Shadow Ball, Yawn, and Volt Absorb holding Leftovers
Yes, the first three are all Jolteons. Why? Well, think about this for a moment. What does Volt Absorb do? It heals your Pokemon if they are hit with an Electric Attack. See where this is going? Discharge spams the enemy team with damage and paralyzes them, while the Jolteons are healed every round. Without a Super Effective attack this turns one the game's best sweepers into a wall. Fake Tears on the lead let's them set a target, Work Up improves one's attacks, and Yawn can force a switch on the difficult Ground Types.
Ravager: Impish Gyarados with Aqua Tail, Ice Fang, Dragon Dance, Rain Dance, and Intimidate holding Battery
A necessity, Ground-types are the obvious flaw in the plan. Gyarados has two different Super-Effectives against them. Plus, Intimidate lowers the enemy team's attacking power. Another bad situation for Ground-types.
Fortune: Bold Blissey with Fire Blast, Softboiled, Aromatherapy (bred), Metronome (bred), and Healer holding Rugged Helmet
Jolteons aren't immune to status problems, Blissey works both to heal the Jolteons from deadly status counters and as a wall in her own right.
Chaos: Jolly Absol with Punishment (bred), Psycho Cut, Swords Dance, Perish Song and Super Luck holding Battery
Game over. Chaos is the final strike. The entire team only needs to reduce the opponent to only three Pokemon. At which point Perish Song goes into play. The logical question here, why not Lapras?
Well, Lapras probably is the better Pokemon for this team. Definitely stronger overall and with a powerful ability. However, while Absol lacks in almost everything, he can learn Punishment. If there are are a lot of teams that take advantage of moves like Belly Drum, and combos to boost their team's stats in Double Battles I wouldn't put it past them to try it in Triples. Punishment is a one move check. With maxed out speed and a high attack Absol can target them and hopefully take them out better they can mess up the team.
Thoughts?

in all seriousness, the online is flawed. exploit leech seed and then switch out for anyone lvl1 w/ Sturdy, and they DON'T DIE. Having Sturdy protect from any one hit knockout was a bad idea. At least the weak Pokemon won't do too much damage unless they have a set move or Toxic or something.

By chance, does anyone, including you mort, have a wi-fi connection on your DS, as well as any of the IV Gen games(Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver) I've lost many times to Aximand before, but that was before I battled seriously. Now I do. (@Bobabounty, still waiting on ya bro, you owe MED) I'll tear you apart. LUXRAY W/ ICE FANG(bred) for truth sake, I did use pokemon modifier, but not any of that max stats or pkmn learn any tm crap. I train them myself... with a x8 XP mod... but you get the point.

In WW2, the Russians only won b/c they had WAY MORE soldiers that they could just throw into the enemy until the enemy was drowning in the russian's casualties. This appears to be the case. ALSO - c'mon Boba, im waiting. :mufasa:
