It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

They are currently 27. Alphabetically:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Initial members were West Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Luxembourg & the Netherlands. The UK joined shortly after (to the great dis-contempt of France, they still don't see eye-to eye and France generally has a superiority complex when it comes to the EU).

The only state to have ever opted out of the Union is Greenland. It was initially part of it as an autonomous province of Denmark but withdrew in '85... There were talks of the UK jumping ship during Thatcher times and some conservative idiots are playing with the idea now...

There are currently five candidate countries: Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Iceland and Turkey. The last being a real tricky part as it's territory is not completely encompassed within the European continent...

We might soon be seeing Bosnia and Herzegovina (one country) and even Kosovo join that list, though Kosovo, being a city-state and not officially recognized as anything in particular by the EU can have a hard time...

There's also something called the EFTA- European Free Trade Association, also called the EEA- European Economic Area, which is basically Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, which are not (yet) part of the EU but share in some aspects with it- use of euro and other economical benefits...

And all this without the use of google...
