It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

How was it rushed? The show ran for a long ass time and the final episode was a movie-length special.
The Last Airbender felt rushed to me. Like it was trying to tie up all the ends in a movie length special. I could have been dragged out more. The final battle was nothing. Very short.
Same with The Legend of Korra. That could have been extended to 4 episodes. Final Battle was short and unexciting. Her getting her bending back was a freebie. That could have been a few episodes in and of itself honestly.

While Legend of Korra felt rushed, I still think you're insane if you think The Last Airbender was rushed. The final battle was perfect.

The only thing I feel cheated on was Korra getting her bending back... I expected that to be Season 2 material... But nooo... The battle between Korra and Amon was really sparse- not like the Azula/Zuko/Katara or the one between Aang and Ozai... We didn't even get to see Korra in the Avatar State... And the final episode wasn't a movie-length special, only 45 minutes (give or take a couple of seconds), a double episode. A movie-length special is at least an hour... The ending of The Last Airbender was a movie-length special- 3 episodes...

Yes you did. Last couple minutes before the credits of the finale. When Aang appeared.

That's not exactly what I meant... That was more like meditation avatar state, not combat avatar state... Plus... 'A couple minutes before the credits' doesn't count...

No, it does. You said, "We didn't even see Korra in the Avatar State." It's plain as day that she entered it in the final few minutes. I think it does count, whether or not it was a combat or meditation state. She entered the Avatar State whether you like it or not.
Now stop pointlessly arguing against facts.

I was REALLY hoping that would be season two. And, I still am. Korra can use all the elements in the Avatar State, but can Aang actually heal his, er, her, er, their own body?

Hey, hey hey! I've admitted I have been wrong on several occasions! Yes, it was an Avatar State, but not the one I meant! The one she entered was more like the one Aang enters when we was speaking to Roku/visiting the Spirit World. Not the one where he surrounded himself with rings of all the elements (or Atom Aang as I call it)...

You're arguing against something I never mentioned! I just said it was the goddamn Avatar State no matter how you looked at it. I wasn't being specific, dammit. Stop complicating things!

Well, I was being specific! And a minute or so at the end doesn't make up for 12 episodes' worth of opportunities!

Well it doesn't matter how quickly it happened! Avatar State is still Avatar State! That was my original point! Shut the fuck up and stop discussing what's already been said. I made my point, but you're not ending it! This conversation is over. SHUT UP

Why does she lose her bending at all? Sounds like it would make for a boring show. It's like, here look, this is the continuation of the last series about bending the elements and cool shit, only the main character CAN'T EVEN DO IT! Have fun!
