The inactivity of this forum.

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

How so?
Better performance overall... Even on my backwater rig, I still get 60~80fps on High... Graphics aren't anything to write home about on whatever platform though... Plus, last time I checked, multiplayer was free on PC...
1. False presumption... I can tell you for sure it's beautiful on xbox one. 2. Titan Fall is clocking out at 60-80fps on our xbox one (we have a FPS counter on our giant ass 65" LCD TV at our office) 3. Uh... you haven't played on a next gen console apparently. >.> 4. It's free on Xbox Live for Titan Fall (at least I'm playing and I don't have any money in Live) :\
Granted I'm sure there are PCs out there that cap it on graphics... but... from everything I've seen xbox one > avg gaming computer
Titanfall looks good, don't get me wrong, but graphics-wise it really isn't all that impressive. There's games that look far better and came out a good deal ago. Not on console maybe, but that's where I'm coming from (though even when compared to the console versions of BF and CoD it can be found lacking)... It's on an upgraded Source engine so please, don't try to convince me it's anything over your average 6~7 at a bar. Good looking, yes. Beautiful vistas (I love that desert map)? Maybe. But the actual graphics on the Titans and the buildings aren't that impressive. In any case, graphics aside- I am surprised at the 80fps, since the Xbone is clocked at a maximum of 60 by default... As for my console gaming... That's been dead for a couple years so you're right...
"Better a quadriplegic for the rest o' me life than wearing a helmet n' shit, amirite blokes? I mean, this was worth it, right?"
I don't think a helmet could prevent that. Poor guy.
And this is why you pussies should call your kid game "handegg"...
He landed on his head. Three guys picked him up like they were going to open his little shorts and triple team his ass. In real football, an injury is usually caused by a fucking monster.
Shitty quality but whatevs.

By the way, did you know that the region of England between Northumberland and Wessex (what's also knows as "The Midlands") is called Mercia? Switch the letters up a bit and you get... 'MERICA!

So anyway, I came back on tuesday from MEPS and long story short, I passed the physical and blood test and all that and was sworn into the air force. That was on monday. On tuesday, I took the Electronic Data Processing Test, the EDPT, and scored a 73. The guy at the air force office told me it was the highest score he had seen in a long time and that it opened up a couple more jobs for me which were "very hard to fill". I suppose it's because few people score high enough on the ASVAB for special testing and then score high enough on the EDPT. Anywho, the jobs were Computer Programming and Technical Applications Specialist, both of which were added to my list of jobs. He may have just been talking me up to get me excited to take those jobs, but I wanted them anyway.
I'm seeing my recruiter today and I guess he's gonna fill me in on what'll be happening next.

You'd be surprised at the number of 17 and 18 year olds joining the army and marine corps. A few of them were still juniors in high school. It's like, god damn, you're not even in 12th grade and here you are, getting your physical and getting sworn into the military. Pretty, young, skinny girls joining army and marine corps, too. There were a good handful of air force and navy, but seems like most were going army or marines.
I stayed two nights at the double tree hotel in sacramento. My first roommate was 24 years old, joining the army. It was his second time going to MEPS because the first time... he had a mole on the back of his neck that apparently looked unusual. Had to get it checked out on a second visit three weeks later. That really sucks. My second roommate was 17 and joining the marines. He reminded me somewhat of grimeth.
At one point during MEPS, me and three other guys were sitting in a big, mostly empty room in our underwear and watched a whole episode of deal or no deal. We were waiting to start the "neuro-orthotical" stuff. Like doing the "duck walk" and windmilling our arms. Rotating at the joints and such. Then you go one by one into the doctor's office for the physical.
