I need an opinion...

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

I've been fiddling with the Cabana's theme and... Well... This is what I've come to...

I need an opinion on how the transparency looks... It's not a comparison between the old look and this... I just want an opinion on how the transparent forum 'plank' looks and feels...

For anyone that doesn't know what the Cabana is- It's a neutral guild/corporation (in-game) I'm working on... You're welcome to join if you wish, though I don't recommend it for the time being... The OTA is officially a major member of the Cabana (as are the Filloreans (Scott's guild)). Other guilds/in-game organizations are part of the Cabana's Lobby so you can be both an OTA and Cabana member... Think of the Cabana as a social guild...

The new look is finally finished. The Cabana is now re-opened for business! (Well, not really)

Of course, I couldn't have done it without Scottie who was kind enough to lend me the buttons and a couple of roll strips (This is where we need a *hug* emote...)

The transparency is nice and all (I personally wish I knew how to half fade the backing but oh well), but I would put a back on the forums themselves... like here.

You can make it transparent by leaving color codes blank... Unfortunately, I've tried leaving the forum back grey-ish, but it appears the forum uses the same code for all the other background stuff... It's the Background Colors/Row 1, Row 2 and Row 3 parts... You can see what happens- the transparency idea goes to full-blown heck (I'm leaving the forum like this for awhile, so you can see)...

I agree, it's easier, but transparent is kewl! If only it was possible to, as you said, just fade the background... (And of course I knew you know how backgrounds work!)

If the forum had a darker background, like yours, a non-transparent background would have worked much smoother into the feel... Unfortunately, gray isn't very bright...

I finished the Cabana's Portal and need an opinion on how it looks...

Also, as I'm having some doubts the background works effectively, I'm gonna need someone with an absurdly big monitor to check it out and see if it's tiled in stead of a fixed image...

That's always a problem that I have... I work on a tiny screen. :P
