Dark Space (OOC)

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

RPing advice: Make your posts less of quotes. What is Tarkus thinking, smelling, feeling, seeing, hearing? What's his motivation for his lack of respect to the Major? What makes Mr. Tarkus different from any other smuggler in the galaxy? Since you're a guide, give some character relevant history with you tied to the territory.

Also, advice for the flow of the RP. Scott is the GM. You do not push forward with out his say so. When he says you're a guide, he means that you are familiar with the territory of the planet and understand how to navigate around. Scott knows where to go.

Know what time we're in. As Ban said, this is more than 3,600 years before the movies. All lore after that is not relevant. It might help if you chose a color for your speaking. It helps readers tell the difference between thoughts and the character's words.

And finally, read other people's posts and understand the situation. If you need help understanding something, talk to someone through steam or ask in this thread.

Its a process, and you'll never get better unless you can take in criticism and make yourself better. I know whats it like to be new to RPing. Trust me lol
