It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...
I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.
I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …
Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... Okkkkkk... See the little tiny greyish thing in the middle of the black bubble? That's me and Spanky's Baby... the end.
We just wanted to share with ya'll. Right now the baby is the size of a sweet pea. No seriously. And he has a teency tiny heart that I got to see beating yesterday.
I am sure this was life changing for all of you to know :P

Hmm... I thought those sonar (whatever they're actually called) picture things were only possible at a later stage in pregnancy... And I don't want to be a killjoy but your prospective son/daughter being the size of a sweet pea... Are organs formed already?

Ultrasound/Sonogram... is what yer lookin' for. And they can do it at any stage... it's just that you see more (sex, limbs, etc.) later.

It depends on the type of sonogram done. This is what they call an internal sonogram. Which is able to view a fetus this small (as I am six weeks pregnant)... at this point most of the major organs are formed but not in working order. More like the prototype is there but no one has started them yet, OTHER than the heart, which is the first organ that works. The heart starts beating when a woman is pregnant about five weeks (which by gestational age, means the actual fetus is only about two to three weeks old). Right now the baby looks kind of like a tadpole.
And thank you. Sorry the pic is so blurry, I took it with my cell phone from the print out photo the doctor gave me yesterday (which is MUCH clearer)
