OT Opposites - Page 4 EmptyThu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 pm by Burkman
It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

I understand that people are busy these days, but it doesn't seem like they're rarely at their computer anymore. I know most of you are still dicking around with your computer. I don't know how we …

Happy New Year OT! We may be dying... BUT WE'RE STILL HERE! We had an... interesting year last year. Vice Admin Burkman is taking a long earned vacation and Uly is stepping into his position. Well... I'd have more to say but I've got other things to do atm... and oh yeah... to quote Callin... "GET A MIC YA BUM!"

Reagan who let poverty become such a problem in the United States we became a third world country.

Reagan whose war on drugs caused more deaths among American civilians then lives that it attempted to save.

I don't dislike Democrats (as I said I liked Clinton even)... I simply don't like Obama.

In Obama's term my tuition has nearly doubled... my student loan interest has skyrocketed... gas is worse than it was with Bush... environmental services and laws are absolutely absurd... taxes are still increasing... nothing has been done or said about SS (at least that I have heard or seen in my paychecks)... and NOW I can get fined for not having health insurance (which might happen soon if I can't find a goddamn professional job which is more or less relying on the ridiculous fucking environmental laws and permiting) on top of which I would not only have to pay a tax for the Health Care system... but if I wanted to keep my own I'd have to pay for that at the same godamn time (yes this is part of the new policing at least as the bill stands now).

I left out democratic Presidents because I told you Lincoln was the last good republican President and you challenged me on it. Why would I include Democrats in that list?

Also you concern for the health care law, you need to talk to Justice Roberts he is the one who made it a tax on top of the actual insurance.

Gas has doubled because it is running out. On top of that most of the larger exporting countries are in turmoil right now. Obama didn't start the arab spring but if you want to blame him for that it is okay.

And you can excuse me of being blindly democratic but your just ignorant conservative wise. You refuse to care for anyone else if that person may be sick, injured, a child, or in some way unable to care for themselves. Leaving them on the street costs the government $5,000 a month but instead of paying the $450 it would cost to take care of some full time you want the $5,000 so they can be independent! But your blind conservative nature makes you not only unable to feel compassion you cannot even think fiscally!

Gas isnt running out. There's oil in Alaska and Texas, but we wont drill because of tree huggers.

I understand tax money for people that are too sick to work. But we also pay for the people that are just too lazy to work. You know how many kids at my school dont actually PAY for their lunch? They just get the government to.

Im incredibly tired right now and cant think of the actual terms for things.

There is no oil in Texas we've sold it all and moved on to other things. Well there is oil beneath Houston but do you really want to move a city the size of Rhode Island?

Branch welfare isn't bused nearly as much as people think it is. The vast majority of people on welfare are actually White Middle Class families. You really don't think those poor white trash/redneck families don't need money?

Kennedy defeated the Soviet Union with the Cuban Missile Crisis.

And even if you don't want to give him credit then you at least have to give more credit to Charlie Wilson who the government officially recognizes as the man who ended the cold war for his covert war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan which finally defeated their last military capabilities.

Why was deregulating the airline industry a good idea? Now they are all failing and costing millions of Americans their jobs?

The USA was a superpower long before Regan came into office. I think we became a superpower when we I don't know won World War II?

*stabs troll* OMG!

So you liked Ulysses, Rutherford, Garfield, Arthur, Harrison, McKinley, Theodore, Taft, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Bush, Bush Jr., Nixon, Ford, and Regan?

Even through general corruption, massacres, expansion of federal power, political machines, further expansion of federal power, more massacres, more war, teapot Dome Scandal, general assholeishness, depression, Persian Gulf war I, Persian Gulf War II, Watergate, another depression, and AIDS are all their administrations are remembered for?

Because you're being biased? I clearly wasn't by actually supporting a Democratic President.

Also you concern for the health care law, you need to talk to Justice Roberts he is the one who made it a tax on top of the actual insurance.

Agreed on that note...

Gas has doubled because it is running out. On top of that most of the larger exporting countries are in turmoil right now. Obama didn't start the arab spring but if you want to blame him for that it is okay.

This blatantly indicates that you know nothing of renewable and nonrenewable resources (of course it's not your profession like it is mine so I wouldn't expect you to). This is a problem with the liberal media. WE ARE NOT running out of natural gas OR oil. The GOOD thing Obama has done is started truing us more independent in this field. However taxes and subs are fucking horrible for renewable and non-renewable resources atm. On top of which it's hard to get natural resources with the environmental laws.

This is simply an opinionated and false (imo) statement.

1. I do Habitat for Humanity and other charitable work in my spare time. I'm also a registered EMR so I can help someone when I see them in trouble. So make sure you're fucking perfect before you judge me on compassion.

2. You still live with your parents or at least are claimed as a dependent. You know nothing of fiscal responsibility. Don't even presume to lecture me on such matters. I'm a married, hard working, father and I damn well better chose my family over others. Something else you have no experience with.

3. Admittedly I can be just as stubborn... but such are my viewpoints.

You haven't lived enough in the real world Meat... that's imo.

I know... but there's a lot more substance than just feelings toward people. It's reducing the role of government, letting the free market flourish, abiding by Constitutional rule... etc etc.

I'm a married, hard working, father and I damn well better chose my family over others. Something else you have no experience with.

Ignoring some of your inaccurate data... and fact that you conveniently don't add Democratic presidents and their equally incriminating faults. You're are just a troll... or are blindly Democratic... in which case you fit their avatar accurately (remembers Family Guy episode with Donkey saying "no").

Because you're being biased? I clearly wasn't by actually supporting a Democratic President.

That isn't even a response.

No I don't I pay a team of scholars like yourself to give me the information on he subject

http://www.drillinginfo.com/login.do

(Well actually my dad works for them and I just read his reports but same information)

You haven't lived enough in the real world Meat... that's imo.

I'm sorry I don't live in republican town.

1. My point was I do stuff for the community so how dare you insinuate that I don't care.

2. I've been independent since I was 17. I had had a job when I lived at home too. In fact I helped with a lot of my family's income. But it's different when you leave home... from personal experience. Granted everyone's experience is different.

And I didn't form my opinion on politics until I started living on my own. Both of my parents are fence riders and never talked about politics.

There is A LOT of oil still in Texas... especially over by Midland. In fact Texas is one of the largest oil producers in the US. I'm starting to question where you get your facts...

So I was l looking up Midland to start talking about the houston toad and why it is important and such and which.

This is the first paragraph on wikipedia about midland.

Quote :
Midland was originally founded as the midway point between Fort Worth and El Paso on the Texas and Pacific Railroad in 1881. The city has received national recognition as the hometown of former First Lady Laura Bush, and the onetime home of former President George H.W. Bush, former President George W. Bush, and former First Lady Barbara Bush. Midland is also know to be the largest city to inhabit a vast population of single minded, hypocritical, religious idiots, who take something so small and exaggerates it into something over compelling and ridiculous. The city is also notorious for drug users and dealers, who spend their time propped up on a rent-a-center couch in a dim lit room, avoiding to make plans with the dentist to adjust their meth affected teeth. As for most of the females here; any of them who are in the process of entering high school will most likely fail to succeed due to their whorish appearances, which will with out a doubt, get them knocked up by the time they reach the 11th grade. Any resident who is an adult, you will find to be two tacos short of a combo plate, for they represent what a true mental handicap person really is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midland,_Texas

Anyway Houston Toad. Yes Houston and Midland are not close to each other but the Houston Toad roams across Texas eating mosquitoes and cutting down on their evil population of blood suckers but oil drilling kills it. Also crickets and cockroaches. It's important and it needs to be saved.

1. When you make a general statement about something it sounds like you don't care and they may or may not be your intention but that is how it comes across.

2. Ok.

I formed my opinions by reading books and articoles and keeping informed on world politics and American politics.

From MSNBC.

From the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Austin Chronicle, the New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, the Week, and the PBS Newshour.

I do not watch MSNB because it only shows the same five documentaries.

The Houston Toad is important to keep doing diseases transmitted by bugs you can't drill in Midland!
