The Never-Ending Thread

It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

Who cares about the sport's name anyway? Yes, it lacks logic; But there is shit like Legend of Zelda which is named after the Princess that barely appears in the experience over the main protagonist Link.

Plus, as a Brazilian that is familiar with the world of "football", I have to say I find the american version more attractive than the logical, european version.
Don't get me wrong, I love watching the Champions' League when I have the chance, but when you live in a country that uses this sort of sport as a way of exectuing the "Bread and Circuses" move from Ancient Rome onto the current era; It becomes annoying, especially when shitty soccer players that lack skill and is simply just another Cristiano Ronaldo gets more credit than other players that are worth it (looks at Neymar)

As you may or may not know, uly is in the DEP. Delayed Entry Program. I'm waiting to get my job and ship date for basic training. Anywho, today was our first DEP Call. Where uh... all the DEPpers are called in... to sign a sheet and do some exercise. It was with a crossfit instructor.

It was awfuuuulll.... they made uly throw uuuppp. I was the only one to throw up, too... Some people were superman... some people were struggling like I was. But only uly threw up. Thank goodness they had a trash can. >_>

Anyway, nobody gave me a hard time about it, which is nice. The crossfit guy said "hey, that's good, that's how you know you're trying hard."(about the throwing up)

So, you know... the overall experience wasn't bad. I must be ready for the next one... every 2 weeks, we gather. Sons of the sky. Sons of sky.... rim. Oh ho ho!

If you're curious, it was about 85 or 90% male. At least for Air Force. Seemed like a lot of girls want army or marines for some god-forsaken reason. That's a lot of competition...

On the subject of being oblivious to perhaps obvious situations, there was a girl I worked with who always seemed really friendly and touched my shoulder as she walked past once and even put her arm around me in front of someone cuz we were both wearing black pants and a red shirt and said, "look, we're matching. I sometimes wonder if she was trying to make it obvious that she was interested in me. I still can't help but think that she was just nice to me because maybe I seemed shy or something.

Remember to stretch good before and after workouts (especially after when your muscles are warm). It alleviates some of the soreness. Other than that once you get into a routine the soreness should subside. I'd also suggest eating lots of protein like chicken, fish, eggs, hell ground beef. Eat some green beans, broccoli, or a salad with that protein. Snack on nuts and fruit. Drink lots of milk (like 2% or whole none of that pussy watered down white shit) and water. Get a multivitamin in you every morning. Gatorade is really good for post workout (tho it's not something you want to drink when you're just sitting around not doing anything). In time you'll appreciate the soreness... as odd as that sounds.
