It's depressing to see how inactive it has been recently. I mean, everybody is pretty much primarily posting in the never ending thread now and there's not enough people here to make this place really booming. We need to find some way to bring more people here before this place just fades into nothingness...

I know for a fact that a lot of boards out there are thriving because of how many people are there. We just need to get back into the game and pull people here. However, where we obtain these people might matter, because we don't to end up pulling in douches like those at Selkath.

Uly. You really gross me out when you start talking about incest.... and the underage thing. It's really really really disturbing. Especially when I read it first thing in the morning. She is now the same age I was when I got pregnant with her, which has me really really nervous. I was thinking about putting her on birth control too, but her dad doesn't want me too, he says that it is telling her it's ok to have sex. But I think it's telling her, look I live in the real world and I know you are going to do it when you want too regardless of what I think, but this way I know at the very least, you will not be coming home pregnant and can actually have a youth.

SOOOOO I am kind of torn, I don't want to fight any more than I have too with her Dad. We fight enough as it is.

Condoms are a bad idea. I know way way way too many people that don't use them. even if they have them. People don't get responsible using condoms until they become adults. Kids are kind of dumb that way... although that being said, maybe she would because she is a very mature and responsible sort of kid, and so is her boyfriend... Maybe I will talk to her later and see kind of what she thinks, and get an idea of how close to being active she is?

Ik I'm young, but my mom was listening to Dr. Laura in the car a week or two ago and someone called in with a similar problem.

Dr. Laura told the lady to not call them birthcontrol and to even put them in a different container and all that. Hide the fact that they are birthcontrol at all. She also said to call them like "hormone control vitamins" or something like that. Yea its lying, but whatever. One lie will save the chick's life.

@ Branch- I don't lie to my kids. My parenting philosophy is if I am honest with them, then hopefully they will return the favor. I have been talking with them about various subjects since they were little, so that they would feel comfortable discussing them with me when they got older. They are also allowed to ask me questions about my life experiences and I answer them truthfully, so that they know that they can come to me, because I have been through it, and also so that this way hopefully they can learn from my mistakes. I don't need to lie to her about birth control. Though maybe I just won't tell her Dad, lol.
